Kamloops has a long steeped eerie history, a town associated with a dark and mysterious past. With ties of a deep-rooted history of the Kamloops Residential School, the Chinese Cemetery, and the Tranquille Sanatorium. Kamloops has chapters of its life that should be learned and talked about. Bringing up these facts to the TRU community is a way to allow the school to become more aware of what has happened to the town and how it affects anyone here. The school offers a chance to foster these challenges and allow students and staff to learn from these mistakes in a comfortable environment. Keeping students and staff informed and incorporating the past will keep the directly affected people’s stories alive and allow people not to forget the dark upcoming of what Kamloops is now known to be.
